Review: Marry Your Billionaire by C.J. Anaya

Marry Your Billionaire by C.J. Anaya.
Audience/Genre: Contemporary Romance.
Publication: March 7th 2016 by C.J. Anaya Publishing LLC.
Six years ago, Midge Knightly walked away from her trust fund, her Hollywood producer father, and the expectation that she would join the family business. Avoiding handsome playboys with hidden agendas was just an added bonus. Now one semester shy of graduation, she is shocked to discover her scholarship has lost its funding.

Her estranged father is having problems of his own. A contestant on his latest reality TV series has cancelled two months before shooting.

His solution?

Midge gets her trust fund back if she stands in as a potential marriage candidate for the dating series Marry Your Billionaire. Twenty women competing for one arrogant guy. Not Midge's cup of tea. Agreeing to this proposition sucks her back into the world she happily broke ties from, but no trust fund equals no college degree.

Brody Prescott, CEO and owner of an online dating company, has recently been pegged as a heartless playboy-among other things-by a disgruntled female after a disappointing date.

His solution?

Become the first bachelor on Marry Your Billionaire and hope that one of the contestants holds some potential. So what is he supposed to do when the woman who intrigues him the most wants to be eliminated?

Marry Your Billionaire is a fun, romantic romp set against the backdrop of reality TV. Throw on your PJ's, grab some chocolate and popcorn, and settle in for an entertaining love story.

“I’m afraid I’ll have to decline the offer, Mr. Prescott. If the outcome of this entire exchange is for you to end up a bachelor once again, then having me as your fake girlfriend is going to be problematic for you.”

“Why is that?” he asked.

Midge leaned forward, reached for his hand that rested on the table and turned it palm up. She then drew lazy circles around his palm and up his wrist. His eyes darkened a bit with a heated look that communicated her affect on him.

She continued that soft contact as she said, “Spend enough time with me, and you’re liable to fall desperately in love. How will you be able to let me go after that?”

Without hesitating, he captured her fingers in his grasp. Raising them to his lips, he softly kissed the tips of them, never breaking eye contact with her. She hadn’t been prepared for him to rally like that, and she found herself just as mesmerized by his actions as he had been with hers.

“Maybe I’m okay with the idea of never letting you go.”

“Marry Your Billionaire is the kind of delicious romance I gobble up with gusto. This clean and wholesome romance novel is sure to warm your heart while tickling your funny bone. If you’re looking for a love story that’s humorous, romantic, and inspirational then you’ve found the right book. Marry Your Billionaire delivers all of this and much, much more.” -Jennifer Griffith, author of the Legally in Love Series.

Review by Kelly

The time and thought put into this book must have been sacrificing. The different activities and places they went to for the reality TV series were fun and refreshing. I can’t tell you how many times I giggled. I even brought my hand over my mouth at the “Oh no” moment in the book! In short, the book is definitely worth the 411 page read!

I can’t even count the number of times there were miscommunications that cost some heartache. And as the TV series went on, not only were hearts at stake but some women fight way too dirty to get what they want. I loved Midge for her ability to see the best in people and to help them out. There is also a little mystery added in to keep you on your toes.

I loved the humor. Her cussing was funny...

Cheese and Crackers!

Sweet maple syrup was followed by Holy chest and abs Batman...

She waved her hand in the air as if she couldn't be bothered and then motioned for him to take a seat on the closed porcelain throne. She hoped seeing him seated upon a toilet might diminish the magnetic pull he had on her. He sat down and gave her a smoldering come hither stare. How in the world did someone sitting on a toilet manage a look like that?

Midge had standards. She didn't budge from them! I liked how she explained why she wanted to wait for sex. I liked it! It just put her higher on a throne for me!

My only beef with the book are the character names. They just bothered me. Like Midge, it just sounds really old!

I began writing short stories for family and friends when I was thirteen years old. My vivid imagination and love of mysteries and romances eventually led me to following my own dreams of becoming a published author. I also do some book review work on the side for SDE Magazine.

I'm a huge fan of The Mindy Project, Hugh Jackman, and binge eating any and all things chocolate. Who isn't, am I right?

As a mother of four awesome kids I'm usually playing beauty salon with my daughters (my four-year-old shaved my arm one time while I was helping another daughter with her homework. Yep. That happened) getting my fanny kicked in Mario Kart by my snarky little son, and making out with my deliciously handsome looking Latin lover, aka, my hubby.
