Curse of the Moon (The Secret Warrior, #2) by Beth Trissel.
Audience/Genre: Young Adult, Paranormal.
Publication: May 4th 2016 by The Wild Rose Press, Inc.
The bad news? Morgan Daniel’s wolf is out of control. The good news? There’s a treatment. She just has to get a potion from a lizard shifter witch--without looking into the witch’s eyes. Easy, right?

But when the witch puts a spell on her younger brother, Morgan has to do the witch's bidding to save him.

Fortunately Morgan isn’t alone. She has Jackson to lean on, a few witches coming into their powers, a secret warlock, and the always mysterious Chief Okema. What could possibly go wrong?

I had a little rough start since the story picked up where it left off and I didn’t write myself a note on how it ended exactly. The author didn’t leave me any reminders in the story either. Insert sad face. But once things got going, I was up to speed with my memory and the book.

This second book in the series brings new enemies into play and more allies. Some as a truce. Morgan also has gone through many changes with her wolf. Some are downright funny.

What I probably liked most was the humor. They all were quoting movies and TV shows as their form of stress relief. Quoting the likes of the Princess Bride and Fellowship of the Ring for starters.

There were many new characters in this edition. I can't help but love the ditzy new addition to the group. There is also more evil characters added as well. I wonder what will happen next in their journey!?!

I’m writing myself some notes this time so I stay on track for the next book. It didn’t end in a cliff hanger. It just left you wanting to know more.

Married to my high school sweetheart, I live on a farm in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia surrounded by my children, grandbabies, and assorted animals. An avid gardener, my love of herbs and heirloom plants figures into my work. The rich history of Virginia, the Native Americans and the people who journeyed here from far beyond her borders are at the heart of my inspiration. In addition to American settings, I also write historical and time travel romances set in the British Isles, and nonfiction about gardening, herbal lore, and country life.
