The Bad Boy's Baby (Hope Springs #3) by Cindi Madsen.
Audience/Genre: Adult, Contemporary Romance.
Publication: May 16th 2016 by Entangled: Bliss.
There are certain words that have always described Cam Brantley: Town bad boy. Soldier. Protector. But never, ever dad. Until he returns home from his latest military tour to discover the girl he had one smoking-hot night with is now mom to the adorable two-year-old Zoey. Who has his eyes.

Plenty of words could describe Emma Walker these days. Mom, dutiful granddaughter, budding designer, the town’s golden child. But when her longtime crush Cam Brantley comes back to town, she knows the perfect word to describe herself: screwed.

Cam and Emma are both shocked to discover he truly wants Zoey in his life. But Cam’s not sure he’s ready to be a dad, and Emma can’t gamble her daughter on maybes. As the long-simmering heat between Cam and Emma reaches a boiling point, he’ll have to work past his demons in order to be the man both girls need.

Daddy duty might be his toughest mission yet…

What a fun read! This is also probably more realistic where a guy, Cam, with an abusive father and an absent mother would have anger issues. He is out of the military. He escaped there. Now Cam is back to work with his brother on a lodge in the mountains. Little did he know that he had a two year old daughter.

Emma is the mother of the two year old, Zoey. She is responsible, kind, hardworking and gives back to her community. She also worked hard to get a degree that would take her places. But with a two year old, she is just now finding the courage to find a job outside of her small town to give her daughter a better future. But when she was younger, her ex-boyfriend told her she was boring . So Emma decided to have one daring bold escape and while drunk, she had the courage to be reckless with Cam and Zoey was the product of that night.

Emma didn’t tell Cam. She made a few attempts. She knew he didn’t want any children. She heard him say so. So when he comes back to town, Emma sees him on her project at the lodge not knowing he would be back. Emma tells him. One look at his daughter and he is in love with her. But now what do Emma and Cam do with their growing attraction to each other?

I loved how the two had so much in common. They balanced each other out as well. She calmed his raging storm inside of him. He still has a little anger issue.

I liked how realistic their issues were and how they resolved them together. I loved watching Cam turn into a family man and how he adored his daughter. I loved how Emma was grounded but also aware she had a daughter to provide for. I liked seeing the characters from the other books in the series. I enjoyed the descriptions of the mountains. It made me want to go camping again. I liked the chemistry between Cam and Emma. I sighed at the end.

Cindi Madsen is a USA Today Bestselling author of contemporary romance and young adult novels. She sits at her computer every chance she gets, plotting, revising, and falling in love with her characters. Sometimes it makes her a crazy person. Without it, she'd be even crazier. She has way too many shoes, but can always find a reason to buy a new pretty pair, especially if they're sparkly, colorful, or super tall. She loves music, dancing, and wishes summer lasted all year long. She lives in Colorado (where summer is most definitely NOT all year long) with her husband and three children.
