Aubrey Evans is living every author’s dream; her sizzling romance novel is being turned into a blockbuster film. She would be celebrating this momentous event, if she wasn’t busy fighting over every tiny production detail with the maddeningly cavalier director, Kole Camden.

When news of their heated rivalry hits the gossip columns, drastic measures must be taken to save their sinking project. In an elaborate PR hoax, she is publicly linked to Greyson Meyers, the swoon-worthy star of her movie. A whirl-wind love affair is staged for the couple to mirror the steamy chapters of her own books.

Can the introverted author resist the charms of Hollywood’s sexiest leading man? Or will love find her in the City of Angels?

First Impressions- I wanted to stop reading it. I was confused as to what was going on. I didn’t know who was what and it was irritating me. Finally, after a few chapters, I got it that Aubrey was being interviewed by RB, Reporter Barbie, as nicknamed by Aubrey. The interview has Aubrey getting ready to get married and being interviewed about it. So, it goes back and forth in time with what has passed and the interview about it. If I had known that in the beginning, I would have been a little less irritated by it.

The Story- Aubrey is a writer with her book being made to a movie. She is a producer for the movie as well. Her best friend, Tandy, comes along with her from New York to California to see her book adapted to film. Tandy is a crazy, witty and sassy best friend. I want her to be my best friend too! Tandy comes along because of her crush that is playing the lead role in the movie, Greyson. Aubrey admits he is handsome and sexy.

When Aubrey and Tandy’s conversation about the director’s back side is heard by said director, Aubrey is mortified. But that seems to be the only nice thing said about him by her from there on out as they battle for the vision of the movie vs. the book. Their rivalry becomes so contentious that the studio will back out if they don’t play nice. They try but always seem to buck each other. Their feud is all over the tabloids.

Then when Aubrey confronts Greyson about how he is playing the lead role, he immediately shows Aubrey how he can be persuasive and everyone sees how he just swooned Aubrey. Aubrey is swooning but she also sees that something is off. He just isn't as exciting as Kole is. The studio decides to do a publicity stunt and put Greyson and Aubrey together in real life. Aubrey who is more like a recluse isn’t happy but goes with it for the sake of the book.

Kole, the director, isn’t happy with it either. Could he be a little jealous? Little by little, Kole and Aubrey’s contention becomes sexual tension. And by the time the tension ignites, all hell breaks loose. Now how can the movie be done with all the tension, contention, and jealousy going on? And will Aubrey end up with Greyson or Kole? You could probably guess, but reading it for yourself is so much better!

Overall- Once I got what was going on, I enjoyed it. I did want more in the end like the reporter wanted but we arent' privy to that.
