The Fiery Heart by Richelle Mead

The Fiery Heart (Bloodlines #4)
by Richelle Mead.
Audience/Genre: YA/NA, Paranormal Romance.
Publication: November 19th 2013 by Razorbill.
Sydney Sage is an Alchemist, one of a group of humans who dabble in magic and serve to bridge the worlds of humans and vampires. They protect vampire secrets - and human lives.

In The Indigo Spell, Sydney was torn between the Alchemist way of life and what her heart and gut were telling her to do. And in one breathtaking moment that Richelle Mead fans will never forget, she made a decision that shocked even her. . . .

But the struggle isn't over for Sydney. As she navigates the aftermath of her life-changing decision, she still finds herself pulled in too many directions at once. Her sister Zoe has arrived, and while Sydney longs to grow closer to her, there's still so much she must keep secret. Working with Marcus has changed the way she views the Alchemists, and Sydney must tread a careful path as she harnesses her profound magical ability to undermine the way of life she was raised to defend. Consumed by passion and vengeance, Sydney struggles to keep her secret life under wraps as the threat of exposure — and re-education — looms larger than ever.

Pulses will race throughout this smoldering fourth installment in the New York Times bestselling Bloodlines series, where no secret is safe

Oh man, this is getting better and better. Sidney and Adrian are together in every sense of the word. But they try to keep it under wraps. But over time some suspect it. Sidney realizes that they are becoming careless. Zoe and Sydney’s parents are divorcing and their dad wants them to testify against their mother so he will have sole custody. Sydney wants her mother and is tired of living the life of n alchemist. Sydney spends time with the others and not Zoe and Zoe is cross over it.

I usually am a family oriented person and I still am, but Sydney’s family is messed up and Sydney knows she wants out and wants a life with Adrian. But too much is pressing on her. She is also working on her skills to find cures for the alchemist tattoo and with her mentor on her spells.

We get to see Rose and Dimitri and Lissa too.

The end is HUGE people. This is really getting my heart going. I can’t wait to see what happens next because much is hanging on a balance!!

I don’t want to say much because it will be spoilers. Don’t watch the trailer because it is a major spoiler and I watched it before I read not to. So I knew how it would end. But, I still was caught up in everything in this book. So ... so much happens here.
