Question: What do you think about the F word?

What do you think about the F word? Does it bother you at all? Do you think it is overused in books?

As for me, my parents never said it. And if we even thought about any bad words, it wasn't pleasant! My brother now says it, but my sister and I don't. Because of my parents, I am uncomfortable with the word. Just is and I am ok with that. I don't like it.

I can read it in a book and forget the word was even there but it has started driving me crazy. I just don't hear it as much as I read it.

I get it when people are mad they say it. I tend to say "Shit" when I get mad. I didn't hear my parents say that either but I say it. I don't know if I am overreacting so I am just putting it out there to see what you think about it. Do you hear it as much as you read it? Does it bother you at all? Do you use it all the time and if so, did you hear it growing up or just started saying it because you heard it elsewhere growing up!?

Let me know what you think........

  1. It doesn't bother me if someone uses it. But I don't like hearing it OVER and OVER again. Like if someone uses it in every phrase they say.

  2. I personally don't cuss. My parents never cussed either. My mom now in her 50s will say a cuss word once in a while and I don't like it. My brother cusses like a sailor and I hate it. I don't mind reading it in a book, but I don't want to hear my family say it.

  3. I'll be the opposite here. I am not bothered at all by it and say it rather often. My dad cussing when he's angry, but hates hearing women cuss, which encouraged my rebellious nature to adopt saying it as often as possible to annoy him once I was over 18.
