A Giveaway - Just Because

Since I am new here, I thought I would have a giveaway. Everybody loves a giveaway!!

I just want to introduce myself. I am Kelly. I love to read. I often read at the expense of my family and chores.
I am married, have children, a full time job as a labor and delivery nurse on night shift.Yes, I have caught many babies when the doctor doesn't make it in time! :) I am just getting going on getting fit and have a personal trainer who whips me into shape. I don't feel like like I am getting into shape! I feel more like jello and can't descend the stairs without saying "Ow,Ow,Ow,Ow,Ow" all the way down the steps.

I read whatever is thrown at me. I have been known to throw out a book or two if I didn't want to read it. Just kidding,I have only thrown out one book. My favorite books are Young Adult. There is something about young love, getting to know someone and first kisses. I love Jane Austen. I couldn't tell you my favorite book because there are so many.I enjoy many authors too. My list is too long to write. One of my all time favorite authors is Marcia McClure!

I live in South Carolina. My hubby and I are from Maryland and he was tired of the snow,so we moved here. We have two sugar gliders. My husband is addicted to giving platelets every week if he can get away with it. I am too chicken to let someone stick me every week. (I know I am a nurse, I can dish it out all day but I can't take it myself)

I hate bugs. I love chocolate. I love antiques. I like to bake but I am not really into cooking. I enjoy camping and going to the beach. I don't swim. When I was little, they threw me in the deep end more than once. I can swim, I just panic! I say "good luck with that" and "how's that working for you" too much. I hate my picture being taken so you don't see much of me.

I tweet- alot. Like I have over 13,000 tweets. Because I have an obsession with reading and I want to read every book someone has on their blog. So,I enter every contest.I swear I spend 2 hours a day reading other people's blogs. I just don't comment alot because I know I have a lot more to read. The other nurses at work say I have an addiction to reading. If I didn't have a full time job, I would read, like, all day! I so want to go to Book Expo America! Everyone always looks like they are having so much fun!

Anyway, Enter the giveaway!

  8. Thanks for sharing with us, Kelly! It's great to get to know you!

I blog to hear myself talk at nataliedamschroder.blogspot.com. :) Don't really care if anyone is listening or not.

I read as much as possible, too, and neglect a long list of things as a result, and it's still never enough reading. :) I love paranormal romance, romantic adventure and romantic suspense, and YA, as well as romantic comedy and contemporary romance...I guess mostly romance. LOL

  22. I blog because it's a great way to express my thoughts on what I read. I only started reading from my last year at high school, and not long after that (I think within a month's time) I had heavily contemplating having some sort of space where I can discuss my opinions on books. (Goodreads alone just didn't cut it.)

I'm a third year nursing student and I'm so freaked out about graduating and having somewhere to go next year. I love reading YA mostly (historical, contemp, dystopia, high fantasy) but I've been reading more classics (modern - 20th cent.) and adult literary/contemp.

  31. Thank you for the Just Because Giveaway! I don't blog, but I read. I read a lot. It is almost impossible to find me without a book in my hand. And what I read? A lot of YA, even though I am way older than YA. (31 tomorrow) I just started reading some NA after some serious hesitation. I am very glad that I took a chance with it! And also very recently, I read an awesome Adult Urban Fantasy series, and I ADORED it, so I see more of those in my future. Just as a recommendation (BUT with a warning that there is language and sex stuff which usually turns me off but these stories are SO good), Kate Locke's The Immortal Empire series. Final book comes out in November! Thanks again, and sorry bout the rambling!
