Confessions of an Almost-Girlfriend (Confessions #2) by Louise Rozett.
Audience/Genre: Young Adult/Coming-of-age
Publication: June 25th 2013 by Harlequin.

Rose Zarelli 2.0 here—2.0, as in, innovative…superior…improved.

Improved how? Glad you asked. This year, I will not:

1. Do things just because other people want me to.

2. Randomly shoot off my mouth.

3. Worry about whether I'm someone's girlfriend—or not.

So, what will I do this year?

1. Find my thing and be who I want to be.

2. Learn when to speak up—and when to shut up.

3. Tell off Jamie Forta and move on.

I'm older and smarter now—I can totally pull this off. How hard can it be?

I love girly highschool/coming-of-age-ish YA series. Princess Diaries, Georgia Nicholson and Jessica Darling are some of my favorite series and Louise Rozett's Confessions of an Angry Girl made that list last year. Since then, I've been dying for the next book and Confessions of an Almost-Girlfriend definitely did not disappoint.

The book picks up with Rose at a party, trying to distract herself after spending the entire summer waiting for Forta to call. Rozett tackles so many things in this book - boys, bullying, homosexuality, drugs, abuse, college and well, everything. Rose is growing up, trying to figure out who she is and there are new characters introduced in the book who contribute to that. Also, have I mentioned that Jamie Forta is HOT?
I couldn't get enough of Jamie and Rose and that's partly the reason why I'm absolutely dying to get my hands on the next book! I can't wait to see how things finally fall into place!

I loved Rose's voice, even though she's flawed and at times frustrating. If you like humor, love, friendship, family with high school mixed in, this book series is for you!
