Yours at Midnight by Robin Bielman.
Audience/Genre : Adult/Contemporary Romance.
Publication : December 18th 2012 by Entangled Publishing.
Lyric Whetsone only had eyes for Quinn Sobel's brother Oliver, until a car crash took Oliver's life on New Year's Eve. Then, a moment of shared grief between Quinn and Lyric became something more impassioned, something that frightened Quinn so much he ran from Lyric's bed and her life, disappearing for four long years.

Now Quinn's back for another New Year's Eve, struggling for closure, desperate to leave his grief in the past and make amends with the girl of his dreams.

But Lyric has a secret--one that could drive Quinn from her life forever. Will Quinn run away from the love and acceptance he's always wanted...or will he claim his New Year's kiss and make her his at midnight?

Thanks so much for having me back on Kindle and Me, Anjana! I’m so happy to be here again!

My latest release from Entangled Publishing, Yours At Midnight, takes place during the holidays and New Year’s Eve plays an important role. Quinn and Lyric, my hero and heroine, grew up next door to each other. They’ve celebrated many holidays together, albeit not on friendly terms, but this year the terms are different. ☺ The one thing that always stays the same as the new year approaches, though, is resolutions. We all make them, right? So I thought it would be fun to share Lyric and Quinn’s resolutions with you.

Lyric’s resolution to find a man opens the book… and you’ll have to read it to find out if that resolve comes true ~wink~ but she’s got a couple of others too. Here they are in her own words:

*Keep an open mind. Living with a plan is good, but I don’t want to shut myself off anymore.
*Learn a second language. I know just the person to teach me.
*Adopt a puppy from the animal shelter. It’s about time we had our very own four-legged friend.
*No more secrets.
*Plan a trip—or two or three or four—to New York.

Quinn’s never made a resolution, but this year he’s got a few, too:

*Tell the people I care about how much they mean to me.
*Work less and play more.
*Plan a trip to Disneyland, Legoland, the zoo, the Monterey Bay Aquarium.
*Write love letters to a certain someone when we’re apart.
*Finish what I start

I admit, I’ve made lots of resolutions over the years, but I’m not sure I’ve kept any for the entire year. Usually because they involve eating better and I’ve got a huge sweet tooth.

How about you? I’d love to hear about your resolutions! Leave me a comment and you’re entered to win an eBook copy of Yours At Midnight. Open internationally.

Happy New Year!

Robin lives in Southern California, a bike ride away from the ocean if she's feeling really adventurous, with her high school sweetheart husband, two sons, and a very cute mini labradoodle named Harry (after Harry Dresden from Jim Butcher's Dresden Files books). When Robin's not reading or writing her next story, she loves to bake, run, hike, and dream of all the travel adventures she hopes to have. She is addicted to cafe mochas, and if every day were Cupcake Day, she'd be a happy camper. She writes contemporary romance for Entangled Publishing.

      1. I love having you on my blog Robin. :) Thanks for being here!

I've only 2 resolutions so far, nothing special though.

-Read all the books that I've bought/buy this year.
-Hit the gym again and stick to it. Eat healthy too. (I seriously need to do this).

I hope you share yours with us! :)

      2. I love being here, Anjana! Oh gosh, I've got several resolutions this year. All ones I can do (I hope). Ones like laugh more, smile at strangers, occasionally wear something besides my sweats. I steered clear of the eat healthy one since I have a huge sweet tooth so as soon as I see a cupcake that resolution would go out the door! I love your resolution to read all the books you've bought/buy this year! I'm still playing catch up from 2011, I think!

      1. Hey Kim! Ha! They are so hard to keep, aren't they? That's why I decided on easy ones this year. One friend of mine chose one resolution - wash her car sometime by the end of the year. I thought that was brilliant. Totally doable.

    5. I don't do resolutions, that way I don't feel guilty for not keeping them.

This book sounds interesting. I'm always up for a good romance.

      1. Hi Lisa! That darn guilt - I know exactly what you mean. I think we should all make a resolution to eat more cookies. That would be easy, wouldn't it?

    6. This book sounds awesome!! Great post. One of my new years resolutions is to not let things stress me out so much. I also want to start working out more like I used to. I am still in shape, but I miss the tone that I had before.

    11. I don't like making new years resolutions. If I don't succeed than I feel like a failure. But, I am always improving.

      1. Hey Kelly! That's a great philosophy - improving. We make such a big deal out of resolutions, that we sometimes forget even little steps in a positive direction should be celebrated.

    19. did you have a good birthday, Robin??

      ReplyDelete
    20. Hi Kelly! I had a really great birthday! Thanks for asking. Got a manicure and pedicure (something I rarely do), went to lunch with my hubby, then we went to Barnes & Noble (my favorite store!) and I bought two books and we sat in the cafe and had coffee and read. In the evening my family went out to dinner and then of course, I had cake. :)

    24. Last year I finally decided to tell someone I had loved for 12 years how I really felt about him. It was the scariest thing in the world. We had been friends since I was 6 years old. We had a beautiful friendship, and bad timing always... and I was so scared that this would end it. But somehow I found the courage to tell him I love him so much its hard to breath when he's in the same room as me.
1 year has past since... and by some miracle, my love loves me too!
He still takes my breath away.

    25. What a great idea to write about your characters' resolutions! And now that I've read the book, I can definitely see them making those exact vows. I feel your pain with the sweet tooth, too. Makes the "eating well" resolution SO much harder, doesn't it?

    26. I love that you wrote about your characters' resolutions. I don't really make resolutions because I can't keep them, and then feel guilty about breaking them. LOL
