If you had to describe Holiday Affair in 3 words, what would they
be?

Sizzling sun and sex!

What inspired you with this specific storyline?

A love of sailing in the beautiful Whitsunday Islands where the story begins and watching the romances that began between people from very different backgrounds. I decided to play with the idea of a holiday fling coming unstuck when both the hero and heroine are playing a holiday role and are less than honest with each other. My academic background then encouraged the transfer of that romance to a university setting which I was familiar with.

Are any of your characters based on you or someone you know in real life?

No, they are totally from my imagination... although Johnny Depp’s face kept coming to mind when I created Nick!

If you had to pick an actor and actress to play Nick and Lissy in a movie, who would it be?

Well, I suppose after that I should say Johnny Depp, however I have recently been quite taken by the hunky good likes of our own Aussie Chris Hemsworth. I can see Chris both on a sailing yacht and in a corporate suit!

How does your writing process usually work? Do you have all the
details noted before you start writing or do you go with the flow? How long does it usually take for you to write a book?

I sit and write. I often drift off to sleep at night, planning a scene that I may write the next day, but nothing goes down in print until I actually start writing. I am a true seat of the pants writer. I wrote Holiday Affair in one month, however it had been in my head for a long time and it was very easy to write. I now schedule myself about three months per book for the initial writing. Then my editor still loves me as there is less to edit when I take a bit more time!

If it wasn’t for the last minute, nothing would ever get done in this house!
Not only in my house, but in my life, and in my writing and editing. When I was studying, many university essays would be done the night before. I am very much a ‘leave it to the last minute and work under pressure’ person! I produce my best work that one for some reason.

Could you name some of your favorite romance novels/movies?

Steel Magnolias has to be number one. I love that movie!
Pretty Woman would come in at number two.

Favourite books...
Again the list is long so I will stay with my absolute all time favorite.
Katherine by Anya Seton.
It is the story of John of Gaunt and Katherine Swynford and was written fifty years ago! A wonderful historical romance that never dates.



The best romance I have read recently was Crazy Love by Nicola Marsh. I love Nicola’s voice.

You’ve written 2 more books since Holiday Affair, could you tell us a bit about them as well?

My two published books written at the same time as Holiday Affair are Winter of the Passion Flower—a rollicking steampunk adventure and Blind Lust –a little paranormal romance which is a favourite of mine.
Since Holiday Affair, I have completed the second book in the series, Italian Affair which is currently with my editor and Outback Affair, the third in the series is almost finished!
