Rapture picks up right after Passion, with Daniel, Luce and the rest of the gang planning to find the place where the angels first fell on Earth so they can stop Lucifer but in order to do that, they need to collect three artifacts that'll be used in a blood ritual to reveal the place of the Fall. This hunt leads Daniel and Luce to Venice where they believe they'd find one of the artifacts, while the others go looking for the rest.

I've been a faithful follower of this series right from the very beginning, so I'm definitely biased.
In Fallen, it was the whole 'forbidden love' that first sucked me into the series, Torment gave me some answers and Passion gave me Luce and Daniel's past, which is pretty much a swoon-worthy, Romeo-and-Juliet sort of epic romance.
Rapture, had me feeling bitter-sweet when I finished reading it because although it didn't live up to my expectations, this was the end. I just needed to see Luce and Daniel get their happy ending and Lauren Kate concluded this series perfectly. Yes, it was predictable but I would've hated if it had ended any other way.

I've never really been a big fan of Luce because she's probably the only person who's worse than Bella. However, over the years, I've gotten really attached to all the characters, despite their flaws. I'm completely in love with Cam and I adore Molly and Gabbe. They're pretty much the reason I held on to this series for years so I was frankly, disappointed with the direction Lauren Kate took their characters in Rapture. Also, Cam should've played a bigger part in this book and series overall, he was barely mentioned in Rapture. The love-triangle that we were led to believe existed in the first book has become pretty much non-existent by the last, which kind of sucks.

Having said that, yes, Rapture fell a little short but it still holds a special place in me because Daniel and Luce finally get their happily ever after. I'd love to see a spin-off series based on Cam or even Lucifer, who after reading this book, actually seems kind of cool.

If you're new to the Fallen series, I'd say give this a shot because you just might end up loving it.
