Blog Tour : Try Me (Take a Chance, #1) by Diane Alberts (Guest Post + Giveaway)

Try Me (Take a Chance, #1) by Diane Alberts.
Audience/Genre : Adult/Romance.
Publication : May 24th 2012 by Ever After (Entangled Publishing).
What happens in Vegas…can lead to romance.

It took one wild night for Sergeant Jeremy Addison to realize that Vegas? Was a bad idea.

Bloody. Bruised. Dehydrated. Abandoned in the desert, and left to stagger down the road. The only way this leave could get worse was if his savior was his ex-best friend’s sister…and the girl he’d loved since childhood.

The last person Erica expected to find on the roadside was her high school crush. She hadn’t seen Jeremy in seven years—ever since the night he said he loved her, and she ran away. Losing him then had been a mistake, but wanting him now could be catastrophic if he discovered the secret that chased every other man from her life. But with a tall, tattooed Marine determined to prove he’s always been faithful, can Erica resist his advances…or will she surrender ground and give love a try?

I think you guys already know Diane and I don't have to tell you how excited I am to have her on the blog again! Thanks to Diane and Entangled Publishing, I have an e-book copy of Try Me to giveaway. Keep reading :)

Try Me by Diane Alberts.

Hello, everyone! I’m here today to blog about my latest release, Try Me. It’s the first in a fun new series called Take a Chance.

In the book, the hero is an emotionally scarred Marine. He wakes up lost in a desert and confused as to how he even got there in the first place. He’s always screwing up, and this time just puts the tops them all. He’s certain he’s going to bake alive in the desert, and no one would even know—yet alone care.

When a car comes along, it has Erica in it—the same girl he poured his heart out to seven years ago. The same girl who ran away when he told her that he loved her. The emotions between the two have never died, and when you put them together? You’ve got one heck of a romance book!

The chemistry between the two of them is tangible. I loved how Jeremy is always pushing the limits, trying to tempt Erica into giving him a shot, and Erica really, really wants to—I mean, have you seen those abs?!—but refuses to give in. The few times she forgets all of her reasons and gives in? It’s hot.

Having the two of them with such a rich background, and all of the unresolved feelings, made for a fun read, and a hot book. But to truly get why they act like they do, you have to dig deeper. And even once they know all of each other’s insecurities and fears—the bond grows stronger. That’s what love is. But can they dig that deep, and get their happily-ever after? You’ll have to read it to find out!

Thanks so much for inviting me here today! Before I go, I wanted to share a quick contest with you! If Try Me hits the Top 100 on Barnes and Noble, I’m giving away a signed picture of Jeremy’s abs! Make sure to spread the word, because the more people who know, the better chances you get to walk away with hotness!

Thanks for having me here today! What’s your favorite type of chemistry—the kind like Erica and Jeremy, where a history is involved…or lust at first sight?

She lives in Northeast Pennsylvania with her four kids, a husband, a bird named Nemo, and two clown fish named Blue and Jewel. In the rare moments when she’s not writing, she can usually be found hunched over one knitting project or another. She is a multi-published, bestselling author with Entangled Publishing and Decadent Publishing. She is repped by her fabulous agent, Lauren Hammond of ADA Management. She has, as of this date, two books contracted with Entangled Publishing, and five books with Decadent Publishing. Her February release with Entangled Publishing, ON ONE CONDITION, hit #18 on the Barnes and Noble Bestseller List. She has a lot of projects currently being shopped around by her fabulous agent, and her goal is to write so many fantastic books that even a non-romance book fan will know her name.

  1. This book sounds like my kind of read! As for my favourite type of chemistry, I like both depending on my mood - sometimes I like it if there's a history between the characters because it makes things interesting, but sometimes good old lust at first sight is more exciting! :)

  6. That is a tough question. I guess it all depends. I could go with both, but I prefer to read a book from the moment two people meet.

  7. A couple with history :) as long as it's relatively good history and nothing too traumatic, haha. Lust at first sight can be exciting but authors try to push it off as actual LOVE too often, I think, which bugs me! Thank you for the giveaway also! I've heard really good things about this book :)

  9. History.
There has to be history behind the relationship because lust at first sight has become so mundane.

  10. I prefer lust at first sight. But it really doesn't matter as long as the plot is well written and the characters have pizazz.

  11. I prefer to read a romance wherein the two leads shares a history together. I never really believed the lust at first sight type of romance, although I did enjoy some of them.

  14. I am not choosy when it comes to chemistry but there is a certain thrill when the person you're involved with was involved in your past.
