Storm (Elementals #1) by Brigid Kemmerer.
Audience/Genre : Young Adult/Paranormal.

Earth, Fire, Air, Water – they have more power than you dream.

Ever since her ex-boyfriend spread those lies about her, Becca Chandler is suddenly getting all the guys—all the ones she doesn't want. Then she saves Chris Merrick from a beating in the school parking lot. Chris is different. Way different: he can control water—just like his brothers can control fire, wind, and earth. They’re powerful. Dangerous. Marked for death.

And now that she knows the truth, so is Becca.

Secrets are hard to keep when your life’s at stake. When Hunter, the mysterious new kid around school, turns up with a talent for being in the wrong place at the right time, Becca thinks she can trust him. But then Hunter goes head-to-head with Chris, and Becca wonders who’s hiding the most dangerous truth of all.

The storm is coming . . .

Wow. Wow, wow, wow. It's been a while since a book had me tongue-tied. Storm's one of them .
Five smokin' hot guys and one girl? I don't need anything else.

Storm is one of those books that sucks you in right from the very first page. Brigid Kemmerer wastes no time and dives right into the action. The story begins with Becca leaving her high school after attending a self-defense class when she sees a boy getting beaten up in the parking lot. The boy is Chris Merrick, one of the four hot brothers that play the lead in the Elemental series. Her righteous instincts kicking in, Becca tries to save Chris by driving her car at the bullies that were beating him up and that one tiny gesture turns her whole world upside down.

I've been trying to decide between giving this book 4 or 5 stars, it's at times like this when I really wish Goodreads has the option of awarding half star ratings because just 4 wouldn't do this story justice. As you can see, I've settled on 5.
Storm has everything that you could possibly want in a novel - it's action-packed, fast, thrilling and has the kind of romance that leaves you breathless.

All the four brothers - Chris, Gabriel, Michael and Nick - are so freaking hot that I wasn't sure who to root for! You'd think that with all that testosterone, it would get a bit too much for one book but it totally doesn't! Kemmerer's done an excellent job with each of the characters' personality, they're all unique and amazing and I'm not just talking about the brothers. Becca starts out meek but her emotions/reactions through out the novel were understandable and believable, considering the situation she was in. It was awesome watching her character develop and become stronger with every crap she was forced to deal with.

And then there's Hunter, the mysterious new guy - totally hot, sexy new guy - who seems to like Becca without judging her. God, he makes me drool!

Storm's plot is really different from most of the paranormal books out there, it keeps you engaged throughout. Like with most books, there's a sub-plot in Storm and that mystery keeps you tearing through the pages (although so figured it out). Honestly, I cannot WAIT to get my hands on Spark! Storm has definitely earned a spot on my 'favorites' shelf. If you like a fast-paced, thrilling read with a swoon-worthy romantic interest, this is definitely for you!
