Starting over sucks. When we moved to West Virginia right before my senior year, I'd pretty much resigned myself to thick accents, dodgy internet access, and a whole lot of boring.... until I spotted my hot neighbor, with his looming height and eerie green eyes. Things were looking up.And then he opened his mouth.Daemon is infuriating. Arrogant. Stab-worthy. We do not get along. At all. But when a stranger attacks me and Daemon literally freezes time with a wave of his hand, well, something...unexpected happens. The hot alien living next door marks me.You heard me. Alien. Turns out Daemon and his sister have a galaxy of enemies wanting to steal their abilities, and Daemon's touch has me lit up like the Vegas Strip. The only way I'm getting out of this alive is by sticking close to Daemon until my alien mojo fades. If I don't kill him first, that is.

Aww, I love them!! Well, I just read Obsidian - but this should count for all, right? Umm.. swoon worthy.. Daemon? YES a sarcastic guy and he keeps teasing you and you want to punch him, but you don't because he's too beautiful! :) And when there is this perfect moment when there it too much tension that could explode the whole city.. yes, that moment! ;)
ReplyDeleteAwesome giveaway!! :)
Not really. But hey, I'd love to try them out. I heard this one's really good. :) What makes a romance swoon-worthy to me? Well first a hot guy really helps and the chemistry must be palpable. There should be humor as well.
ReplyDeleteI've never read an alien story, so I'm not too sure if I'd like them or not. To make a romance swoon-worthy, it has to have an adorable guy who's caring and a complete bad-ass. :) Thanks for the giveaway!
ReplyDeleteI don't really like alien stories. But I really love this one. The swoon-worthy romances are the best, what makes 'em that though is a relateable feelings
ReplyDeleteYeah, I love alien stories :)
ReplyDeleteWhat makes a romance swoon-worthy for me? Great characters & great chemistry between them & fun dialogues :)
Thanks for the giveaway!
Honestly I'm not prone to seek them out. Sure if the idea is really grabbing and I think I'll enjoy it I might try it. Like Obsisdian. Haven't read it yet, but it looks SO GOOD that I'm dying to read it!
ReplyDeleteWhat makes a good romance is how both of them are drawn to each other even though they cant explain it & how there is a connection between them that only they understand! :)
ReplyDeleteI can like an alien story. I have in the past, just not all of them. As long as I feel a connection between the characters, then it's usually swoon worthy enough for me. :)
ReplyDeleteThis comment has been removed by the author.
ReplyDeleteThe only alien book I've read is Exiled by RaShelle Workman, which I enjoyed. I'd like something a little more gritty though! As for romance, if it's slow and full of tension, I'm usually sucked right in!
ReplyDeleteI have read many alien stories, but I have heard great things about this series. I am a huge fan of JLA's covenant series. Thanks for the giveaway!!
ReplyDeleteI haven't read any alien stories recently. But I watch a lot of Futurama. Does that count?
ReplyDeleteI have been dying to read this one. Everyone on twitter is saying it's amazing. Thanks for the giveaway!
ReplyDeleteI dont read a lot about aliens but this book sound very good
ReplyDeleteThanks for the giveaway! I'm a big fan of Jennifer's books and Daemon <3¡¡
ReplyDeleteNot a big fan of aliens but I absolutely love this series!! Thanks for the giveaway

ReplyDeleteI haven't read a lot of alien books, but I like anything out of the normal.
ReplyDeleteI like romances with some action in them, not just sappy stuff.
i don't think i've read any alien books yet, but i'm definitely interested in this one!
ReplyDeletethanks for the giveaway!
I love aliens..especially swoon worthy ones!
ReplyDeleteI actually haven't read any alien stories since the Roswell series in like 9th grade! Well, some scifi set on other planets, but not anything really like this. But it sounds awesome.
ReplyDeleteA swoon-worthy romance to me has tension but lots of affection, too.
Do I like Alien stories? I LOVE the science fiction genre since my teen years (now I'm feeling old) so the answer is obviously YES. Admittedly I'm also a bit of an addict to sci-fi series on TV :-)!
ReplyDeleteI love these kind of stories. Totally fell into them about two years ago.
ReplyDeleteSwoon-worthy are definitely those sarcastic, flirty guys you can't read 100%. :)
Gah! So definitely ready for Daemon invasion. I just read the book and I just.... LOVE DAEMON. He is the HOTTEST alien EVER. Usually a steamy relationship works wonders for me that made it so swoon-worthy. Thanks for the giveaway!=D
ReplyDeleteI have discovered alien storie with gini koch book and i love them. I also really like Jennifer's writing so i would be so happy to win this
ReplyDeletei love when the character have to fight prejuge etc to be together
all the best
I haven´t read many alien stories but I think I like them :)
ReplyDeleteI've never actually read an alien love story, but I've heard tons of awesome reviews about this!
ReplyDeleteThe other alien story I've read is I am Number Four and I love it! I love the second book too. That's why I want to read Obsidian because I am now interested with alien stories w/ love prospects on the side. :)
ReplyDeleteWell, what makes a story romantic for me is....Daemon Black? Come on, when I think about him it brightens up my day. ;)
ReplyDeleteSure, I love paranormal stuff.
I do like alien stories but alien romance stories are new to me. I'd like to see what the heroes and heroines are like.
ReplyDeleteLoved alien stories ever since the X-Files! A swoon-worthy romance to me: characters who are drawn to each other, but remain themselves and have to struggle to be together.
ReplyDeleteOmggg I seriously want to read this book!! And I always liked the X-Files.
ReplyDeletedefinitely the guy makes a romance swoonworthy especially Daemon. :)
ReplyDeleteI haven't read any alien stories yet (or at least I don't think I did) but I'm really looking forward to reading this one :D <3 I've heard great things about it
ReplyDeleteI have read a couple of stories with aliens, and I like them. What makes a romance swoon worthy is when the hero will do anything for the woman he loves even give his life for her.
ReplyDeletejmesparza821(at)gmail(dot)com
I especially like alien romance stories. A man can be truly swoon-worthy if he is kind to woman but retains his individuality. Meaness doesn't get him anywhere in my book!
ReplyDeleteI haven't tried aliens out yet, but I'm always open to new things! For a swoon worthy romance you need a sweet, caring guy.
ReplyDelete(Emily R. in rafflecopter)
Christina K. in the rafflecopter
ReplyDeleteI love alien stories, and it's great banter that makes a good romance!
I like romance and swoon worthy means taking care of her and being sweet and thoughtful enough to forgive mistakes we all make. I like aliens as long as the word aliens isn't used - It makes me think of little green men!
ReplyDeleteI do like alien stories, not much of a swooner though. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteThe only story I enjoyed about aliens was Dragon ball z. I think if the plot is well thought out and I love the characters its a swoon worthy story
ReplyDeleteWell, I'm not sure. I haven't really read an Alien book. But the plot is interesting.
ReplyDeleteTo make a swoon worthy story, I feel that there must be some sweet nothing sayings between the lovers.
I do love alien stories but haven't come across many that are swoon worthy lately. What makes me swoon is unrequited love. I am a total sucker for it! This prompt reminds me of a great book, The Only Alien On The Planet, which involves a mystery and a slow burn romance. It came out a while ago but I still love reading it now. Thanks for the giveaway!
ReplyDeleteSure I can enjoy a good alien story as long as it's a good story! Whatever the genre the writing is the most important, but an aliance romance, that definitely sounds great!
ReplyDeleteI love alien stories. I thought Myer's book The Host was twice the book her Twilight series was.
ReplyDeleteI guess alien stories are fine because I really love The Lorien Legacies and The Chaos Walking Trilogy. As for swoon-worthy guys... My opinions differ books to books, sometimes I prefer the bad boy type, and at times, the kind, gentle type.
ReplyDeletei always feel curious about Alien and want to know about Alien :)
ReplyDeletei love happy ending story :)
I've only read a few alien stories and liked it, and for romance, I love a good HEA ending :)
ReplyDeleteHaven't read many alien stories TBH, but I am a fan of scifi pretty generally. Swoon worthy romance to me is development and chemistry between the character without any instalove or a love based solely on physical attributes.
ReplyDeleteYes I do like alien story, I think my favorite is The Host by Stephenie Meyer-I think that's the only alien book I read
ReplyDeleteI LOVE alien stories. Nothing better. I don't know for sure what makes me fall for a romance story, though. Sometimes it clicks for me, sometimes it doesn't.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the great giveaway!
I'm not a big fan of alien stories, but I've heard this book is great! So, we'll see :)
ReplyDeleteI haven't read many stories about aliens yet. As for what makes a love story swoon-worthy ... if it's forbidden or unrequited.
ReplyDeleteI love alien stories.. I guess, I do believe in aliens. I see you judging me! LOL! But I think my love for alien stories started on watching Roswell. Yup! I'm still feeling a lot of heartache because that show got cancelled, the only good thing is that they didn't left the fans hanging. They ended it nicely.
ReplyDeleteAngst + Believability + Alpha Males + Alpha Female + Lots of Chemistry + Tension = SWOON WORTHY ROMANCE!
LOL!
Thanks for the giveaway! I really want to win! I'm so desperate! I promise not to enter any giveaways for my entire life if you let me win! (believe me! I'm telling the truth!) (I'm not lying! I swear!) Please let me win! (LOL)
yes, i like alien stories. always feel curioas about aliens:)
ReplyDeleteThere was so much sexual tension in this book I almost passed out. :)
ReplyDeleteBecause it transcends galaxies. /corny :P
ReplyDeleteI also like it because it's different. I think the only other alien books I've read are the Roswell TV tie ins (from YEARS ago).
Who knew Aliens will turned out ot be so sexy isn't? Thank you for the giveway =)
ReplyDelete(following via Networked Blogs )
I haven't read a lot alien books, but Obsidian is perfect! If I knew that they were so hot I'd read it earlier! :)
ReplyDeleteI have read alien books... but definitely they're sci-fi.. with little on the romance part..
ReplyDeleteBut Obsidian was awesome.>:D
I never really got into the alien thing until Obsidian, and Daemon is the only alien for me, LOL
ReplyDeletewell i ve never really tried to read an alien related story, but am willing to try:D
ReplyDeleteand for a romance to be swoon worthy...hmm...i like both the bad-type boys and the sweet-type...so as long as it is believable and there are some sweet or hot quotes in there it's fine by me:D
Never read an alien story that I can remember of. It's an interesting concept though.
ReplyDeleteSwoon worthy romance? It depends on the characters and their interactions with each other. <3
The first alien book that I've read and liked is I Am Number Four. For me, what makes a romance swoon-worthy is... like, Adrian and Sydney from Bloodlines. :)
ReplyDeleteI like alien stories though I've read only a few of them so far.The dialogue and humor definitely make a romance swoonworthy
ReplyDeleteI love alien stories. i obsessed over roswell when it was on and I got the DVDs.
ReplyDeleteFor the romance story to be good it has to start off with attraction. It's always funny when the duo start off hating each other but yet are attracted to each other but don't show it.
Thank you for the giveaway :)
Haven't read many alien stories but I would love to try this one!
ReplyDeletei love aliens stories. A romance is swoon worthy when the man is strong and self-aware be he a human or an alien.
ReplyDeletelaura thomas
Hi
ReplyDeleteI guess that if one hasn't found their soul mate "here on earth" yet, the idea of falling in love with someone that is not from around is very appealing...
I haven't read any alien stories from my past reads but I think I'm open for new recommendations mostly when it offers a great deal of Swoon-worthy romance. :)
ReplyDeleteI love forbidden romances, especially those with sexual frustration...
ReplyDeleteI read Obsidian months ago and LOVED it! I think any alien story that I read from now on, I will love, just because of Jennifer Armentrout and her amazing Lux series. Not knowing want kind of abilities the aliens have and what they'll do makes it even better :D
ReplyDeleteThanks for the giveaway!
Alyssa Susanna
I like Alien stories that are well-written and thought out. I dislike the phrase "swoon-worthy", eesh, girls aren't that silly, vain, and shallow.
ReplyDeleteAlien books are ok. Swoon worthy romance is tension, where the alpha male and the strong female fight their attraction till it explodes...
ReplyDeleteWendy/books4me
i never read any book alien stories,,but i heard obsidian is a great books, so make me curious for reading..
ReplyDeletethanks for the giveaway..
dian
This would be my first!
ReplyDeleteMalvina Beatrice
Truthfully, I've never read any Alien stories! But I keep hearing about this one -- apparently it's a good place to start! (Though it might ruin me and set the bar too high, if everyone's reviews are right.) Swoon-worthy romances to me are the slow build up, the one where it's a small touch on the shoulder here or a glance across the hall there...probably some arguing, a lot of battled internal feelings, and then some explosive kissy scene haha.
ReplyDeleteThank you for doing the giveaway!
I've only read 1 Alien story, which was The Host but it's my favorite book ever so I can say I love alien stories I think. :)
ReplyDeleteI loved the Roswell series- both the books and the TV Show so I've been quite into alien stories after that! Obsidian sounds SO good! I'm planning to read it very soon. Daemon especially sounds promising, haha! Thanks for the giveaway :)
ReplyDeleteI love alien stories as long as there's some romance and they're not too sci-fi. Obsidian is getting rave reviews so I'm excited to check it out! A good romance for me is one where you get to feel the characters fall in love by their words and actions, as opposed just being told what they feel.
ReplyDeleteYes, I totally love Alien stories! And with a hot guy like that? What's not to fall for? :")
ReplyDeleteFabulous giveaway!!! :)
ReplyDeleteDon't really have much experience reading Alien related books. but would so love to try it....
ReplyDeleteHHHhhhhhmmmm.....
I would definitely go for super SWEET & CHARMING guy
I can't remember any alien books that I've read, but I had a friend gushing about this one so I'm definitely interested in reading it!
ReplyDeleteI like romances that aren't insta-love and when you can see the chemistry between the characters...
thanks for the giveaway!
Obsidian and Shadows are the only alien story I read and they are great so...Great romance novels I consider the ones that have a sarcastic male character.
ReplyDeleteThis would be a nice add to my collection of YA, Sci-Fi novels! :)
ReplyDeleteI don't know, because I haven't read any book by her. But I really interesting with her book. I love your giveaways because you give a lot of great books. :)
ReplyDeleteYes, I'm alright with it, if the aliens make sense most of the time. I think great romance novels usually have lots of tension in them ;)
ReplyDeleteI have to admit I've never really read an Alien story. I think romance novels are great when the two characters start off hating each other and try to fight their attraction. I'm a sucker for sexual tension ;)
ReplyDeleteI want to read this. a change from my normal paranormal books. :)))) Thank you for this giveaway!
ReplyDeleteI've read a couple of alien stories, including Obsidian. And yeah, I liked and loved Obsidian. :D
ReplyDeleteFor me, a swoon-worthy romance means well-developed chemistry between the characters. I hate it when there's a sudden "insta-love" (instant love) between two characters who have just known each other.I don't want a hurried sort of romance, that's all.
Plus, I'm kind of much more in favor if the guy involved is hands-down hot. I know, I can't resist them. :D
Thnaks for the giveaway! :)
- Noely Jeleen
I usually don't... but this one turned into one of my favorite books! I think it was the hot shirtless guy.
ReplyDeleteI haven't read too many alien stories only two including this one. The characters can make a story swoon worthy especially if they are anything like Daemon:)
ReplyDeleteDepends on the type of book I am reading. I am not a massive fan or the world ending aliens like in most movies but Jennifer's are EPIC!!! Swoon romance to me is in the intensity level and how the characters interact :) Thanks for the giveaway!!
ReplyDeleteI didn't think I liked Alien books...cause ET was my last real alien read..long time ago, yes I have an ET dolly:D But when I read Obsidian...WOW!!! I thought it was such a cool book. Daemon really does sweep the reader off their feet. Sure he is a bit of a cranky pants at first, but where there is crank..there is always swoon.....:D

I love them!! Well, I just read Shadows and I feel like I'm in love with these books!!!
ReplyDeleteGood luck!!!
I love a romance but with a bit of laughter too, gotta have good use of sarcasm and wit :) gets me every time!

I haven't read much alien stories, but they sound unique! In romance, I love it when the characters are likeable & the guy is sweet (NOT cheesy).
ReplyDeleteLove alien stories like this one & the lorien legacies. I love Gini Koch's series. I love the action and the romance!
ReplyDeleteI loved this book to. I read it in one day i couldn't put it down. I am so going to stalk all her work she is awesome.
