He's So/She's So #1 & #2 by Kieran Scott

She's So Dead to UsShe's So Dead to Us by Kieran Scott

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

When having money is all that matters, what happens when you lose it all?

Ally Ryan used to be rich, at least up till her father made a mistake that almost bankrupted her family as well as her friends'. Unable to face her friends or live the same way again, her family moves out of Orchard Hill (The Beverly Hills of New Jersey)without even a goodbye only to move back again two years later because her mother got a job at her old high school. Now Ally's forced to deal with the ramifications of her father's screwup and face the people who were once her 'friends'. Only, nothing's the same.

Bitchy

I really enjoyed She's So Dead To Us. It's a mix of 90210,Gossip Girl and Jersey Shore (though I've never seen the show, I've heard what it's like). There's parties, alcohol, cliques and extremely good looking teenagers.

Oh. And there's a hell lot of drama. So if you're a fan of any of these shows, you're gonna like this one. Ally Ryan is like Serena Van Der Woodson, but a poor (literally) one.

Drama,Drama,Drama.

High School Drama

Sequel to She's So Dead to Us, it picks up where the previous one ended. Ally's dad's back, she feels betrayed by Jake and decides to take off to Jersey Shore to get away from it all. But drama seems to always follow Ally Ryan.

I expected more from this book. While it's prequel was fun and entertaining, this one lacked its creativity. He's So Dead To Us fell short for me. I felt like Kieran Scott made a TV show out of her book rather than a series of novels. All my favorite characters turned out to be idiotic and jerks, which was highly disappointing.

Ok, I have to admit, it wasn't all bad but it was just too predictable and felt like a series of incidents were strung together for no apparent reason. I believe that in a series, each book has to represent some kind of progress - with the plot, characters etc. and no one progressed in this one, the drama just got multiplied by 10 and all the smart kids turned dumb, the good girl turned bad, bad girl turned good, the guy in love gave into his penis, the guy not in love wants the girl he's not in love with back..it was all just..random.

Actually come to think of it, I'm not sure why I gave it 3 stars. Probably because the writing's still pretty good and engaging. Let's just hope Jake's not annoying in the next novel!
